Madagascar: Fourth Largest IslandMadagascar, the fourth largest island in the world, is located in the Indian Ocean, off the coast of Mozambique. It includes numerous tiny islands, a central chain of mountains and high plains that occupy more than half of the main island, responsible for the marked difference, ethnic, climatic and scenic coastline between East and West.

Historically the island has received influences of everything from Javanese, Indians, Africans and Arabs, Portuguese or even French. Among the highlights of this tropical paradise are: Antananarivo, the capital, markets, palaces, bars and restaurants and the Botanical and Zoological Park Tsimbazaza, Nosy Be, a wonderful place to spend relaxing holidays on the beach and Andoany , its capital, is a beautiful city of colonial buildings, the Integral Nature Reserve Tsingy of Bemaraha, the largest of the country, National Park Montagne d’Ambre (and lemurs), the most visited of the country, Mahajanga, the second port of Madagascar, with arches giving bougainvilleas succulent shadows, numerous churches and more than 20 mosques.
